Admissions Conditions

Admission to B.A.Part-I and B.Com Part-I classes are made on the basis of merit.
Each student has to produce original and true copy of each of the following documents at
the time of admission.
1. Marks card of PU Board of Equivalent Examination like JOC (Two Xerox copies)
2. Character Certificate from the head of Institution last attended.
3. Students whose parental income is less than Rs. 44,500-00 are eligible for fee concession
(Tuition fee of both I & II term will be excepted) They should enclose the income
certificate issued by Tahashildar ( Three Xerox copies) Income Certificate should be in
Appendix No. 2 of Form No. 3.
4. Students belonging to Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribe should bring the Caste
Certificate issued by Tahasildar in Form D (Three Xerox copies)
5. Students belonging to category I (B.T) should bring the caste certificate in Form E
(Three Xerox copies)
6. Adhaar Card and Bank Pass Book (Xerox)
Note:
a) All admissions are provisional and subject to the approval of Registrar, Karnatak
University, Dharwad.
b) The College reserves the right of admission.
c) Each candidate will produce his/her six latest passport size photographs.
d) Late admission will be subject to the permission of the Registrar, Karnatak University
and availability of seats in the college.
e) If any student desires to change the subject he/she may do so within a week from the
last date of admission.
f) FEES ONCE PAID WILL NOT BE REFUNDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
TRANSFEER CERTIFICATE:
Students of other colleges seeking fresh admission in this college will apply for their
transfer certificate (T.C) through the Principal of this college within a month from the last
date of admission. Those who leave the college will have to apply for the transfer certificate
through the Principal of the Institution newly joined.
MIGRATION CERTIFICATE:
Migration certificate in case of students coming from the University outside Karnatak
State should be produced at the time of admission.
RULES FOR LEAVING THE COLLEGE:
1. A Student who wishes to leave the college must apply in writing to the Principal and the
application must be countersigned by his/her parents/guardian.
2. No student will be permitted to leave the college until he/she has cleared all his/her
college dues (library dues and fee arrears).
3. A student has to pay the college fees and all other dues until his/her name is formally
withdrawn.
ATTENDANCE.
1) Students are required to attend classes regularly and punctually.
2) A Student who does not attend atleast 75% of the total classes held in each subject in
each term is not allowed to take University Examination. (Under Semester Scheme, it
is compulsory)
COLLEGE EXAMINATION RULES.
There will be two internal Examinations each semester. It is compulsory for each
student to pass in them.
RULES FOR BEING ELIGIBLE TO TAKE UNIVERSITY EXAMINATION.
To be eligible to appear for the University Examination, a student must fulfil the
following conditions.
1. He/ She must have attended at least 75% of the classes held in each subject in each term.
2. He/ She must have attended the internal examinations.
3. He/ She must have cleared all the college dues and returned library books.
4. He/ She must not be guilty of gross misbehavior.
SCHOLARSHIP, FEE CONCESSIONS AND OTHER GRANTS
All those students whose family annual income is not more than Rs. 44,500/- are
eligible for concession of tuition fees and examination fees awarded by the Government of
Karnataka. Besides the above, the following scholarships and free ships of the Government
are also available.
CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
1. National Scholarships for the children of primary and secondary school teachers.
2. National Merit Scholarship: Only those who are awarded this scholarship while
studying in PUC II are eligible to avail themselves of this scholarship.
3. Scholarship in post metric studies in English and Hindi to students from Non-Hindi
speaking states.
4. Government of India post metric scholarship to SC/ST students
STATE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP
1. Educational Concessions to the children and dependents of service personnel in the
Army / Navy / Air Force.
2. Scholarship to the physically handicapped students (Those who have passed their
previous examination in first attempt with 40% marks)
3. Backward class post metric Scholarship to the students whose parental income is
less than Rs. 44,500/- per annum.
4. The college also awards scholarship from the Student’s Aid Fund to poor and meritorious
students who are not covered by the above scholarships and freeships. (Subject to the
approval of the Management)
5. Vidya Poshak Scholarship.
6. Cash Prize Scholarship: Cash prize are awarded to students scoring cent percent
marks in subjects and Scoring 90 percent marks in education.
Note: 1. The Scholarship amount will be paid as per the Govt. Instructions within a week of
the receipt of the Scholarship to the scholar in person by cheques. It will lapse if
not claimed in time.
2. While receiving the scholarship amount the scholar, if he/she desires, may see
the sanction order of the scholarships by the issuing authority.
3. The award of the above scholarships is subject to good behaviour, attendance and
satisfactory progress. If these conditions are not satisfied by the scholar, the
amount will be refunded to the Govt.
IMPORTANT
1. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
2. Part payment is not permitted
3. All dues must be cleared before the applications for the University Examination are sent.
4. Fees shall be paid for the full term even if one studies for a part there of.
5. Students should show their identity card while entering the campus.
